Hi!! I'm Lauren Lobert and I am an obessive Red Wings fan(especially Darren McCarty), so I decided to make a webpage dedicated to the Red Wings, Darren, Vlady, and Sergei. Tribute To Vlady and Sergei

On Friday, June 13th, a terrible accident happened. While Richard Gnida was driving Vladimir Konstantinov, Sergei Mnataskanov, and Slava Fetisov home after a golf outing, he fell asleep or blacked out and the limo hit a tree in the median. Vlady and Sergei both were left in comas, possibly going to die and Slava was injured, but not as severly. Vlady and Sergei are now out of their comas, and have made terrific progress, crossing almost all boundries that the doctors had set for them.

Personal~ Darren and his family live in Suburban Detroit. Darren enjoys golf and he participates in the Red Wings charity softball games in the off-season. Darren recently joined a band called Walk On Water(Grinder when Darren sings in it) to raise money for the McCarty Cancer Foundation, The Elysia Pefley Foundation, The Make-a-Wish Foundation, and The Family Trust Funds for Vlady and Sergei. Darren is a recovering alcholic and his dad has bone cancer. Darren established the McCarty Cancer Foundation to raise money for research the rare bone cancer.
